At the Body Centered, I am always looking for ways to effectively stack treatment interventions to offer the most thorough path to healing, being efficient with your time and resources and committed to results. Integrating Pilates into your session will help in recognizing areas of weakness and muscle imbalance while teaching you to move in more supportive yet supple ways.
Through the combination of strength training, stretching and breath work you will explore the many relationships that exist between all parts of the body and where the hiccups may be that are causing pain, weakness or dysfunction.
Together, we will expand on the definition of “core support” and explore the relationship of the arms and legs to the structures of the spine. We will work in the body to build evenly distributed muscle throughout and decompress not just the joints of the spine but also the knees, hips and shoulders.
Your posture will be fine tuned, your movements strong and supported and you will walk away with tools to maintain your results with the ability to return time and time again to a sense of center.
